Surprising Turn: Biden’s Campaign Faces Major Job Turmoil

We’ve seen time and again that the left can’t meme. Remember when the Biden Department of Transportation created a meme that was not only unfunny but also potentially violated the Hatch Act? Or when Stacey Abrams tried to jump on a meme trend and completely missed the mark?

The Biden campaign is once again trying to reach younger voters, this time by hiring someone to create pro-Biden memes. A new job posting reveals that the campaign hasn’t learned that Democrats just aren’t good at being funny.

The posting on Daybook reads:

“The Biden for President (BFP) campaign is looking for a Partner Manager to join the Digital Partnerships team. In this role, you will initiate and manage day-to-day operations in engaging the internet’s top content and meme pages. The ideal candidate for this role is passionate about bringing political content to voters where they already are on the internet. They have a deep interest in politics and thrive in a fast-paced environment. This position is full-time and based in Wilmington, DE.”

The posting lists qualifications like experience, expertise, and organizational skills, but notably misses one crucial qualification: a sense of humor.

Here’s further proof that Team Biden isn’t prioritizing comedy — at least not intentionally:

“Biden for President requires all employees to be ‘up to date’ on COVID-19 vaccination status as prescribed by the CDC as a condition of employment, unless otherwise prohibited by applicable law. If you seek a reasonable accommodation in relation to the campaign’s COVID-19 policy, you should speak to the HR Department prior to reporting to an office location.”

Biden for President is committed to diversity among its staff and recognizes that its continued success requires the highest commitment to obtaining and retaining a diverse staff that provides the best quality services to supporters and constituents.

The Washington Times highlighted some of the Biden team’s meme failures. The existence of the cringeworthy “Dark Brandon” meme is telling, but it gets worse. Recently, Biden’s X account trolled former President Donald Trump with a meme celebrating the Dow Jones Industrial Average hitting 40,000. Biden reposted a video of Trump predicting a market crash if Biden won, adding a meme of himself holding an ice cream cone and serving an “L” or “loss” to Trump.

Sure, the job might be about curating memes as much as creating them, but the campaign is missing the point. Memes aren’t dictated from above; they arise organically. The left, claiming to be defenders of democracy, fails to grasp that memes are the most democratic form of modern comedy.

What the left will never understand is that in comedy, the lecture is less important than the laughs. Left-wing comedy is more about pushing a message than being humorous, which is why it often falls flat. But let them keep trying — it just gives us more material to mock.
